How to check the status of the SMTP server

To aid in troubleshooting connectivity errors when trying to access the SMTP servers, you can go to and check the TRACERT update at any time.

Go to the top-right section under Tracert.

Type "". Then hit Tracert.

You will know that the servers are running when the last line of the trace route reads:
[Reached Destination]

We suggest that you run this test a few times in succession to verify that this server is available.

Note: This test will run a trace route from an arbitrary server on the internet to the servers. If the trace route is successful but you continue to get errors in connecting to the servers, you should check with your network admin or your ISP.
